Established, maintained contacts with members of the council, the public, the applicants, their professional agents involved in the development management process in order to undertake effective negotiations, reconcile competing and contradictory views in the assessment of planning applications. 

Deputised for the Area Manager in their absence. 

Determined a wide range of planning applications for the Area Teams under delegated authority on behalf of the Assistant Director of Planning.
